NAET is a drug-free alternative to the pills typically used to treat environmental and food-based allergies and intolerances. The approach was developed by Devi S. Nambudripad, a chiropractor, acupuncturist, registered nurse and kinesiologist who drew on the breadth of her training to create a new way to recharge the body and regain health.
Rather than giving patients medication, NAET relies on a mix of energy balancing, testing and alternative modalities such as acupuncture, acupressure, allopathy, nutritional therapy, kinesiology and chiropractic care to address the root issues and mitigate reactions. The goal, according Nambudripad herself, is to calm the central nervous system and remove the energy disturbances and blockages that interrupt the flow of life along our body’s meridians and cause disruptions we interpret as allergic reactions.

Though we usually start by treating a list of 10 or so essential nutrients, NAET can be used to treat a whole host of triggers, including more uncommon causes such as chemicals and vaccines/immunizations and more common concerns such as:

Course of treatment depends on the severity of each patient’s allergies and sensitivities. We usually can address more than one allergen at a time. Patients who are not severely immunodeficient may only need a single treatment. Others may require several visits.
